Our Story
A workshop first. A showroom second.
FURNIWOOD FURNITURE began with sawdust rather than shopfittings. The workshop at Diptyganj, Nilmatha came first, and the showroom grew around it so customers could watch their own furniture being built.
Today we design and manufacture 50 catalogue pieces across ten collections — and an equal number of one-off pieces that exist only in the rooms they were drawn for.
Our Philosophy
Furniture should be quiet, generous and repairable.
We design pieces that hold their proportion through changing trends, that feel better the longer you own them, and that can be opened, adjusted and repaired rather than replaced.

Our Craft
Machines help. Hands decide.
We use machinery where it makes a piece more accurate — panel cutting, edge banding, precision drilling — and hands where judgement matters: grain matching, fitting joints, tensioning upholstery, reading a finish as it builds.
It is slower. It is also the reason a FURNIWOOD wardrobe still closes properly ten years later.

Humidity, heat and daily use are brutal tests for furniture. These are the materials that pass.
Solid Walnut
Deep, warm and open-grained — our most requested timber for living and dining pieces.
Teak & Oak
Hard, stable and light-toned woods for pieces that should feel calm and architectural.
Engineered Plywood
High-grade plywood carcasses for wardrobes and cabinets, dimensionally stable through Indian seasons.
Premium Upholstery
Linens, bouclés, velvets and full-grain leathers, tested for abrasion before they enter the showroom.
Brass & Metal
Brushed brass, antique finishes and powder-coated steel for hardware and bases.
Finishes & Adhesives
Low-odour hard-wax oils, water-based lacquers and low-emission adhesives throughout.

Our aim is simple: to be the workshop a Lucknow family calls for every room, for years — the living room first, then the bedrooms, then the dining room, then the study, then their children’s homes.
